Singer Antique Sewing Machine

I recently found this 1936 antique Singer sewing machine at a garage sale. I paid $15 for it and it works great! It came with one bobbin, so I ordered some extra bobbins for it. I cleaned it up and oiled it real good and it sews like a dream. These machines were built to handle heavy weight fabrics. They were built to last, unlike the sewing machines today that are made with alot of plastic parts. This machine does not have a foot pedal it has a handle that is inserted in a hole to the right of the machine and is designed to push your knee up against the bar to start sewing. click on the photo to see what I mean. Garage sales are great places to find antique machines and you can generally get them for a great price.
