Braving the Bold

Well after much deliberation over what color to paint my dining room walls I was finally inspired to "Go with the Bold." I tried three other colors on this wall, colonial yellow, moss green and taupe, then settled on this very warm but bold color called "Galena Gold." I then added some freehand painting of fall branches as if they are coming out of the ceiling down on the wall. I saw this done in a magazine and was very impressed how the branches and sparce leaves looked so elegant and how it gave almost a storybook feel to the room. I was worried that this small space might not be able to carry off a bold color as this, but it certainly has warmed this room up and made it feel very cozy. I am not going to paint the entire room in this color
I feel it would be to over powering. But I am happy with how this has turned out. All my pictures in the room I got at the thrift stores and I like how they look on the wall.
