Candlestick Pincushion

I made this pear shaped pincushion after being inspired by other
pincushions that were attached to
candlesticks made of wood, metal and glass. I like the glass ones the best.
I already had a pattern for a stuffed pear, so I used that as my pincushion part and I had this glass candlestick on hand also. I made this pincushion from wool felt and then embellished it with ribbon and beaded trim. I used a hot glue gun to attach it to the candlestick. I also used a twig from my yard for the stem of the pear.
Just use your imagination and as many kinds of embellishing items you want like; buttons, lace, tassles, beads, trim, etc. They can be made to look elegant, primitive, retro, whimsical you name it. Whatever you are in the mood for. They make great gifts too, for Christmas, birthdays, Mother's Day or any day.
